Botanical Soap Christmas Cards
A Christmas card that's also a gift. Each one carries a little tree of handmade soap on the front, cut by hand at Sage Cottage in Hawick and wrapped in compostable cellophane. The card is the greeting, and the soap is the present. Something to keep long after the tinsel comes down.
There are three designs, each paired with one of our botanical soaps:
Ivory – Falside Gorse
Made with gorse flowers foraged wild from Falside Hill, where they flower golden on the Borders hillside through much of the year. It's a small piece of the landscape we look out on every day.
Plum – Nettle
Made with nettles grown in our no-dig garden at Sage Cottage. The humble nettle is one of the most generous plants in any Scottish garden, and here it's set against deep plum and gold.
Green – Plantain
Made with plantain from our own garden, the quiet little plant that grows along every path and border. It's a traditional favourite in botanical skincare, and it looks lovely against a winter green.
Each card is illustrated with holly, ivy, pine and a single gold star, and signed off simply: a little handmade gift from the Scottish Borders. The inside is left blank for your own message. The cards are ideal for Secret Santa, for teachers, neighbours and colleagues, or tucked in with a larger present.
